So proud of my state right now.
Anonymous asked: Surprise beautiful person! Once you get this, you must put it into at least 8 people’s ask (anonymously) who deserve it. If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it is nice to know that someone thinks you’re beautiful inside and out. ❤

Thanks :D
Anonymous asked: Wow. I am really sorry for the incredibly offensive and ignorant messages you're getting because of a very personal and difficult decision you have made. As a Mormon, but more importantly as a human being, I apologize on their behalf. They in no way represent all of us. Good luck with your spiritual journey :)

Thank you :)
And that would be the reason I said that children need parents who really believe they should be at church, not just parents who think that church is an all right place to be if you’re a tiny person.
By “believe they should be at church” I mean “[the parents] believe that [the parents] should be at church” just as much as I mean “[the parents] believe that [the children] should be at church.”
I’m here because you should learn these values but actually none of the rest of it is true other than the part about how you should live is a terrible argument that in fact does not work on people older than about six years of age. Either be a Christian and teach your kids that, or be some secular humanist and see how far that gets you. The middle ground doesn’t actually exist.
(Secular humanism has not been effective in convincing children to behave like civilized people for any of the parents I actually know, but I wish you the best of luck. I assume it works for some people, at least for the first generation.)
I’m not saying I will go back to the church for the sake of the children. I’m just saying at this point in my life I’m not focused on family and I don’t like Christianity in general right now. I don’t believe in it historically, but I believe it teaches good values. Values that when I do decide to have children I will want them to know and grow up with.
Don’t believe in it “historically”, eh? The vast majority of historians agree on the historicity of Christ, and the early apostles. But believe whatever you want to believe.
I’m writing a research paper about Mithraism which came several hundred years before Jesus and was essentially the same thing. I can believe what I want so please stop belittling me. Thank you.
Can everyone just stop attacking me for a minute?

That isn’t what I meant either… Sorry for being stupid I guess.
Arguments against “organized religion”
sometimesusually frustrate me. And generally speaking, you don’t have to be at church to be Mormon. It’s about faith and charity and good works and all that jazz, more than where you spend Sunday afternoons (or mornings.)And I gotta say… children…

Yeah so I’m not going to be Mormon anymore right now.
:c Are you leaving the Church entirely, or just going inactive until things with your family get better?
I’m just going inactive for awhile. I’m really anti-organized religion right now. When it’s time for me to start a family I might go back but I don’t know yet.
Yeah so I’m not going to be Mormon anymore right now.
